Simplicity and Control for the User

Currently, the document signing process in Ultima RATIO is quite straightforward. The user fills out a form, and those responsible for signing the document receive a link. Everything remains under the control of the process initiator, who receives information about the signatures, can send reminders, etc. From the perspective of KYC (Know Your Customer), it is crucial to have mandatory two-factor identity verification through a trusted profile, encompassing over 16 million citizens of our country.

Challenges Related to Identity Verification

Despite strong identity verification, we have noticed some gaps. If the link to the document falls into the wrong hands and an unauthorised person signs it, it may lead to situations where corporate processes remain incomplete. The contract card will then list the wrong person and the wrong last three digits of the PESEL number. Furthermore, attacks involving impersonation of businesses are becoming increasingly common.

New Service – Secure ID Match

To further enhance KYC and customer security, we have introduced the Secure ID Match service. The form initiating the document can now include the PESEL number of the person who is to sign it. The service compares it with the PESEL number of the person logging in. If the numbers match, the signing procedure is successfully completed. Otherwise, the process is interrupted, and the person receives an appropriate message.

Increased Security, Fewer Frauds

Thanks to Secure ID Match, we make life harder for fraudsters. Even if a fraudster gains access to the mailbox of the person they are impersonating—such as the company’s CEO—they would additionally need to obtain their login details for login.gov.pl and the phone registered on the national node.

Encouragement to Add an Arbitration Clause

Although our tool allows the signing of any document without the necessity of adding an arbitration clause, we encourage doing so. We intend to utilise the new functionality in arbitration procedures ourselves.

Free Package for Entrepreneurial Visionaries

The Secure ID Match functionality is available to any registered user of Ultima RATIO under the free plan: "Entrepreneurial Visionary," allowing the signing and sending of five documents per month. For paid plans, the solution can be integrated with clients' internal systems via API.
